Returns & Refund Policy

At The Alternative Bread Company, we want you to love every loaf you bake.
Because our products are food items, we’re unable to accept returns unless your item arrives damaged or there’s an issue with your order.

If something’s not right

Please contact us within 3 days of receiving your parcel.
Email us at bread@alternativebread.co.nz with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • A photo (if applicable)

We’ll make it right — whether that’s a replacement or store credit.


Important Notes

  • We do not accept returns for change of mind.

  • Refunds are not issued for incorrect use of the product — but we’re always happy to help troubleshoot if your loaf didn’t rise to the occasion!

  • All refunds are processed back to the original payment method.


Order Amendments

You can amend your order before it has been picked and packed.
Please email us at bread@alternativebread.co.nz with the changes you need, and we’ll do our best to help.


Order Cancellations

To cancel an order, please notify us in writing (email: bread@alternativebread.co.nz) before your order has been allocated for picking.
A 1% cancellation fee applies to cover administration and payment processing costs.
