With slight citrus undertones, and simple to make - no fluffing about - tip - add a few additional ingredients - mix - wait (proving time) - cook - EAT. It’s that simple to create your own homestyle bread made with love not nasties.
Gluten, dairy, soy, nut and egg free. You can choose to make me sugar free too.
Makes 12 buns or 2 x 500gm loves or a 1kg loaf.
Can be sliced and frozen (if not all eaten a couple of days)
You will need:
½ lemon, zest and juice
½ orange, zest and juice
1 cup raisins or sultanas
80gms sugar or honey or date syrup
600mls warm water
In a medium sized bowl combine your Spicy Fruit Breadmix with your added ingredients; make sure your water is as warm as possible but not boiling.
Mix together until it starts to form dough, it does thicken as you mix.
Tip onto a floured surface and knead for a few minutes.
Lightly grease a loaf tin and then dust lightly with flour to make sure all the edges and corners are covered.
Put your Spicy Fruit Bread into the tin, pushing out to the corners and level the top to give a flat even surface. If making buns, divide in to 12 and place close together in a rectangular greased tin.
Leave to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Bake at 200°C for 45 minutes. (Buns for 25minutes)
Remove from tin as soon as cooked to prevent soggy bottom.
Leave to cool on a rack before slicing.
Mix all ingredients together first. Place into your breadmaker, select gluten free setting mode.
