Waffles are great any time of the day - one of those dishes that is okay to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you don't have a waffle maker, these can easily be made as pancakes on the stove in a pan.
Note: If you would like a more savoury option, change the Spiced Bread Mix to Wholesome Bread Mix and leave out the sugar/banana. Sift the Wholesome Bread Mix to remove the course flaxseed before adding the wet ingredients.
Combine the bread mix and baking powder together in a medium bowl.
In a seperate bowl beat together the sugar/banana, egg, oil and vanilla.
Mix together the wet and dry ingredients. Add the milk slowly to combine into a batter.
Leave to rest for a few minutes while your waffle maker heats up.
You may need to add more milk to your batter if it starts to thicken up.
Cook as per your waffle makers instructions or if using the stove top, cook on a gentle heat and flip once small bubbles start to form on the top.
Top with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
If you have extra batter - it can be stored in the fridge for a day, just add milk to get back to a batter consistency.
